Viability

With our app, we provide a service that allows college students to connect and gain access to other users that are willing to help the consumers. The job request could be minimal tasks like picking up a lunch order from the university cafeteria building, or more substantial tasks like study help or changing a flat tire on campus. This service benefits both app users on each side of the transaction. The student who requests the task be completed has the benefit of taking one assignment off their busy To-Do list. In contrast, the student who is hired to complete the task can earn some money for making quick and easy money that they can use for their food or put towards those pesky student debts.

Our service is different from other crowdsource apps because we are targeting precisely the students in universities and college campuses. This allows there to be a more safe and secure transaction due to our requirement of the user needing to input their school IDs into our database.

With other crowdsource apps, they restrict themselves to the delivery of foods, beverages, and/or groceries. However, we allow the task to fit into multiple categories like dorm cleaning, study tutor, project help, outreach for interviewees, and lunch runs.

Currently, we are currently past the prototype stage. We are now trying to build the app/service and trying to find the most suitable way to program the app.

The app itself will be free; however, to profit from this service we will take a small percentage from the transaction that is carried out. In the app, the pricing for the work that is to be accomplished can be negotiated between the student paying and the student working.

We hope to expand to all college campuses because we believe this has many benefits for hard-working college students who need to take a break from their chores, which use up time.
